Look on any penny, or a $5 bill. You’ll see one of our greatest presidents, Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln struggled with a nation at war and fought to maintain the union and to further the best interest of all citizens. His sentiments can be best summed up by one of his best known quotes.
Citizens and inhabitants of the United States have rights and duties under the Constitution. We have an obligation to influence our government to represent our wishes.
